It’s been six weeks, 10 rides (4 on my Cross and 6 on my MTB) just over 100 miles – and now a small but expensive problem has cropped up! Are the SIDI Carbon Dragon 3 MTB Shoes worth all the hype?
Very often bikes come to me to be tuned and they are totally dirty. Washing your bike is essential – to keep things working as expected. When washing your bike, this is the time to pay attention to all your components and make sure they are tight, no cracks or anything is broken or warn and needing replaced. Speaking of tight, you need to know how your bike is put together, take your time and get intimate with all your components – so that when something does start to get lose – and they will – you’ll be able top catch it before any damage can occur.
After watching the KRDO13 clip, I was curious to know why the city’s hands were tied – it didn’t make sense to me. I contacted Aimee Cox (Community Development Manager for Colorado Springs) and spent an hour on the phone with her. This was an excellent conversation that lead to some discoveries that I don’t think the public readily knows about (I didn’t). But first a little back story to the homeless situation.
Knowing that in 6 weeks I will be pulling a loaded trailer up in the Colorado Mountains for my overnight trip, I thought that it would probably be a good time to start getting used to having a trailer io the back of my bike. I’m estimating that I’ll have about a 20 pound load on a 16 pound trailer – I really need to get used to having all that weight behind me.
