WHY SOUTHERN COLORADO?
Colorado Springs & Fountain offer a variety of biking options, from realitivity flat, easy rides along 200+ miles of scenic greenways to rugged singletrack climbs up steep mountain trails deep in the Pike National Forest. Whatever your mood and/or level of comfort on a bike, I've got a route to match.
I love to ride! Some of these are no Sunday Stroll through the park! Mountain rides can typically range from 10-20 miles with 1,000 – 2,500 feet of climbing and take about 2-3 hrs, while road rides average 15-18 miles/hr on a 20-50 mile trip that climbs 1,500 – 2,500 feet. and please remember that riding at altitude is much different than at sea level. While I live at 6,500 ft some rides can start or crest above tree-line (11,000ft)!
